Meet the team

The people behind Buzz.

Buzz was built by accountants and operators who got tired of the profession's worst habits — the jargon, the once-a-year silence, the surprise bills. Here's who we are, in the UK and in South Africa.

The founders

Two people, one standard

Andy Jackson, co-founder of Buzz Accounting

Andy Jackson

Co-founder

Andy is an entrepreneur and operator who has spent his career building better professional-services businesses — practices that run on strong systems and plain-speaking advice rather than billable-hour meters and jargon. He co-founded Buzz to prove an accountancy firm could be genuinely useful to the people it serves, and drove its expansion into an international group spanning the UK and South Africa. He's as comfortable talking cashflow with a sole trader as he is building the platform behind a multi-country practice.

Peter Allen, co-founder and Finance Director of Buzz Accounting

Peter Allen

Co-founder & Finance Director

Peter is a seasoned accounting professional with more than 20 years' experience. He built and grew his own accountancy firm organically — client by client, referral by referral — to a substantial recurring fee base, so he understands from the inside what business owners actually need from their accountant. As Buzz's co-founder and Finance Director he sets the quality bar for the group's financial work and leads its fractional finance-director thinking.

The team

The people who do the work.

Senior and semi-senior accountants across the Buzz group — the people who prepare, review and deliver client work to one standard, whether it's for a South African business or a UK firm we run production for.

Candice, Senior Accountant at Buzz Accounting

Candice

Senior Accountant

Candice is one of the senior accountants in the production team, reviewing and delivering client accounts and tax work and making sure what goes out is right first time.

Jolandi, Senior Accountant at Buzz Accounting

Jolandi

Senior Accountant

Jolandi is a senior accountant in the production team, working out of Pretoria and taking year-end accounts and tax work from a pile of client records through to review-ready.

Rochelle, Semi-Senior Accountant at Buzz Accounting

Rochelle

Semi-Senior Accountant

Rochelle prepares accounts, tax returns and management figures for a broad mix of owner-managed businesses, working closely with the senior team.

Mary, Semi-Senior Accountant at Buzz Accounting

Mary

Semi-Senior Accountant

Mary works across accounts preparation and tax, and is often the person keeping the detail straight on the day-to-day client work.

The Pretoria team

And a South African team that's growing — fast

Buzz's Pretoria office is scaling up right now, bringing on qualified South African accounting professionals to serve SA businesses directly and to power the group's UK practice behind the scenes.

Every one of them works to the same standard the founders set — the same review discipline, the same plain-English promise, the same care with your deadlines. We'll be introducing them here as they join. In the meantime, you'll always deal with a real, named person who knows your business — never a ticket number.

Qualified & reviewed

Professional standards and internal review on every job.

Plain English

Advice you can actually understand and act on.

On your time

SA business hours, SA knowledge, a message away.

International standard

The same bar we hold for our UK practice.

Are you qualified accountants?

How are you different from a traditional SA accountant?
